More ONLY SUPERHUMAN news: Now available for Kindle

Well, Barnes & Noble was behind in getting the blurb and such posted for Only Superhuman, but ahead in making the book available in e-book form.  Amazon.com has now caught up; Only Superhuman can now be preordered in Kindle format.

It’s worth pointing out, since I’ve gathered lately that some people aren’t aware of this, that even if you don’t have a Kindle, Nook, or other e-reader device, you can download free e-reading software for the computer or mobile device of your choice wherever e-books of the corresponding format are sold.

Is it just me or the eebooks are kind of pricy…
I like books so i pre ordered it on paper…
I whish they’d propose something like paying a little more to have kindle + paper version. because as it is it’s not reasonable to grab it on ebook AND paper.
one can ask why i’d want both… Well i like books on my shelf and i like having the option of reading it on my phone… so i can choose… Maybe i’m weird… lol

The ebooks are less than half the price of the print edition. That’s actually a pretty incredible discount. Most of the cost of a book doesn’t go into the paper and printing, but the work of all the people involved in writing, editing, proofreading, typesetting, cover design and art, promotion and marketing, etc. So an ebook costing less than half as much as the print book is pretty extraordinary. I think the distributors set the price artificially low to try to promote the ebook market, or something.

I understand you point. Mine was that if you buy both hardcover and ebook you shouldn’t pay the same price as if you’d buy only one…
i think the cost of sending/printing the book is way more than just send a few mega by internet. For me it’s normal that ebooks cost less. (maybe not half price but still less…)

About the half prince, when that’s the case I find it normal. But in the case of your book have you checked the price ? at the time i’m writting :
    Kindle : 18.14$
    hardcover : 14.66$
Maybe because Kindle have the “primeur” of having it first?

“i think the cost of sending/printing the book is way more than just send a few mega by internet.”

Yes, but it’s still a tiny fraction of the actual cost of the book. Since books are printed in bulk, there’s an economy of scale and it only costs pennies per book to print and ship them. (The advance reading copies I got recently actually cost more per unit to print than the final hardcover, because there are so many fewer of them.)

The Kindle and Nook prices are both $11.99. I don’t know where you’re getting that $18.14 figure from.
