The story description:

The dedicated agents of the Federation Department of Temporal Investigations have their work cut out for them protecting the course of history from the dangers of time travel. But the galaxy is littered with artifacts that, in the wrong hands, could threaten reality. One of the DTI’s most crucial jobs is to track down these objects and lock them safely away in the Federation’s most secret and secure facility. When Agents Lucsly and Dulmur bring home an alien obelisk of incredible power, they are challenged by a 31st-century temporal agent who insists they surrender the mysterious artifact to her. But before they know it, the three agents are pulled into a corrupted future torn apart by a violent temporal war. While their DTI colleagues attempt to track them down, Lucsly and Dulmur must restore temporal peace by setting off on an epic journey through the ages, with the future of the galaxy hanging in the balance…

I found this hugely enjoyable. Especially the… aw, I can’t say.

Went to Amazon UK to buy the book and was surprised at the price (£3.99), nearly double what US readers are paying, same on the Simon & Schuster website so looks like a definite price point made even worse as other Trek novellas are a comparable price to their US counterparts.

Not sure why that would be. In the US, it’s the same price as the other Trek e-novellas.

        It’s cheaper on ibooks

It’s pretty cheap Google Play books, too. It’s brilliant, Christopher. One rrference I didn’t get, the large black-armoured android not to be activated ’till x date?

The android isn’t a reference to anything. I just thought it was a funny idea.

UK itunes has it for £3.99 as well, maybe the publisher is seeing if a well known author’s work within the genre would support a higher price, thanks for the replies.

I greatly enjoyed this book as well. Thank you very much for writing this Christopher. It was equally exciting to your book “Watching the clock” which is very hard to match. Will you be writing more DTI and FTA books in the near future? I sincerely hope so!

Just finished it a few minutes ago and really enjoyed it. It was a great time-travel yarn. I’d love to tell you how much I appreciate that you got some things as right as possible about certain, um, critters, but I don’t want to give too much away. Let’s just say I appreciate the references to feathers and leave it at that.
